How much do I get paid for doing a job?
The kicker decides how much they are willing to pay, if the catcher is happy with that price they will claim that job.



When do I get paid for jobs I have done?
The Catchers payment will be processed every 2 weeks, but 2 weeks in arrears, so the first payment will be processed on week 5 for work carried out in weeks 1 and 2.



Why am I not getting an option to sign in?
Click on Dashboard in the top right corner of the website.



What is the difference between The Field and My Field?
The Field is where jobs available to be claimed will appear, My Field is where jobs you have claimed will appear.



Why can’t I see any of the projects I have claimed?
You are probably in The Field, click My Field.



Why can’t I see some projects in My Field?
You might have entered text into the search bar.



Do I get a notification when a new job is uploaded?
If a job is assigned to you and you only, then yes, you will receive a notification. If a job is posted to public or a number of catchers, then no, you will not receive a notification as you will be competing with competitors to claim this work. These jobs will just appear in The Field.

The kicker posts the price they are happy to pay for the task, it is an open market so if a catcher is happy with the price they will claim it.



Are my files stored?
Yes, if you choose a cloud storage option your files will be stored securely in the cloud for you to access for the time period you select.



When am I charged for the service?
The kicker is only charged for the service after they approve the task, please see terms and conditions for more details.



How do I choose a catcher?
Each catcher is trained in the use of SmarterCounting, Idaso’s computer aided enumeration software so all are qualified to process traffic counts. You can select a catcher based on your previous experience or on their rating.



Can I share the videos and data from the Cloud with stakeholders?
Yes, once a task has been approved the kicker can share a link to the input files with whomever they choose.



What do I do if I’m not happy with the sample data?
Click “Return” and ask to the catcher to review it via the chat function.



Why am I not getting an option to sign in?
Click on Dashboard in the top right corner of the website.



How do I rotate the Camera?
Use the Scroll Bar to the right hand side of the “Add Marker” button.



What way should the camera icon be facing?
The Point should represent the base of the camera with the wider end representing the view.



I have a job saved as a draft. How do I kick it now?
Open the job, click edit, then click review and at the bottom of the review screen you will see the Kick button.



Why are some of the jobs not appearing on the map in Map View?
Only jobs in which you have paid for cloud storage will appear on the map. These jobs will remain on the map for the duration of the cloud storage in which you have chosen.



Why is the upload bar dropping back to empty and not completing the upload?
Perhaps you have set the fee too low. Scroll up and see if there is a notification on the “Basic Information” tab. If so click into the “Basic Information” tab and you should see the fee box is highlighted Red. Edit the fee and re-upload.

How do I create/edit a survey on Global Team?
Once you are logged in to Global Team, click on the “Survey” tab at the top of the screen. This will take you to the Global Team Surveys page. Any saved surveys will appear here. Click “View” on any saved survey and you will have an option to edit. Click the “Create New” button to create a new survey.



How do I add data/excel reports to a survey?
The first step is to find the site location on the map. Then click on the “Add Site” icon on the left hand side of the map (“+”). Enter the Site Name and select the relevant Excel Report/Count Data to import to the survey builder.
(Note: All excel reports/count sheets must contain Smarter Counting’s Movement Details Tab).



Is the menu on the left hand side of the map the only menu available?
No. The menu on the left hand side of the map is the Global Menu. This means any changes made using this menu will apply to every site in the survey. If you right click on the blue “Site Label” a site specific menu will appear.



How do I move the Site Label and Arm Labels?
Simply and drag the Site or Arm Labels to move them.

If you hold the Shift Key on the keyboard while moving the Site Label, the Arm Labels will move with the Site Label.

If you hold the Ctrl Key on the keyboard and left click on the Site Label, the arm labels will automatically move closer to the Site Label.

If you hold the Ctrl Key on the keyboard and left click on the Arm Label, the relevant data table will automatically move closer to the Arm Label.



Is the Movement Flows the only data that can be displayed in the data tables?
No. You can change all the data tables in the survey to show either Movement Flow Totals or Entry/Exit Totals.

To change between Flow Totals and Entry/Exits Totals you can click on the “Table Types” button on the left hand side of the map and select the data type that you would like to display. This change will apply to all data tables in the survey.

To change between Flow Totals and Entry/Exits Totals on a specific table/number of tables, hold the Alt Key on the keyboard and left click on the Table you would like to change the display on.



How do I save a survey or any changes made to a survey?
To save a survey, click on the “Save” icon on the left hand side of the map (floppy disk icon). This save the entire survey.



Can I filter the data being displayed to display data within specific days/times?
Yes. You can click on the “Global Filter” icon on the left hand side of the map (funnel icon) to open the Global Filter. The Global Filter applies a filter to ALL the sites in the survey. If you want to filter the data on a specific site/number of sites, right click on the Site Label of the relevant site and select “Filter” from the pop-up menu.



What is the Diff. Graph?
The Diff. (Difference) Graph allows the user to create a link between 2 sites. The user can then display the difference in vehicle leaving a site and arriving at the next on a graph. The Diff. Graph breaks down the difference into classifications and displays the difference as a percentage also.



What is the Distribution Graph and how do I view it?
The Distribution Graph allows the user to view the vehicle flows on a graph. To view the Distribution Graph, right click on the Site Label that you would like to display the graph for and select “Distribution Graph” from the menu. The user can then choose to display all movements or specify certain movement to suit their needs.



How do I generate/export an excel sheet from Global Team Surveys?
To generate a report click on the “Export” icon on the left hand side of the map, choose the report format(s) that you would like to include/output and click “Export”. Clicking the “Export” icon on the left hand side of the map will generate a report including a tab for each site in each of the formats specified.

If you want a site specific Excel Report, right click on the relevant Site Label and choose “Export” from the menu. Then like above, choose the report format(s) you would like to include/output and click “Export”.

How do I import an Input File (.Dat File)?
Click Add new project. Then click Import Data on the top right of the Project Info page and navigate to the input file you require. You will then have to import the videos.



The video files I require are not showing up when I click Import Video?
Above the Open & Cancel button you will see a dropdown list. Click on the dropdown list and select All Files. If they are still not showing up, you may have navigated to the wrong folder.



Why is the customer dropdown list empty?
You have not yet entered any customers to the software. Exit the Project. Click People on the top of the screen. Then click Customers. Add customer’s details.



Why does the Footage and Software show different times?
The times & frames are not set correctly in the Video Feeds section.



How do I import 1 X 12/24 hour video?
Import the video and then specify the start/end time of the video.



How do I import 12/24 X 1 hour videos?
Import the first video and then specify the start/end time of that video. Set default clip length to 1 hour. Import all remaining videos (the times will set automatically).



Why are my counts not showing up in Excel?

Check that the Date in both Project Info and Video Feeds is correct. If the dates are correct, check that the Time ranges in video feeds are set correctly.



How do I import multiple videos of different lenghts?
In this case, you need to import each/all videos and specify the start and end time of each video individually.



The controller buttons are not doing what they are supposed to do?
Click on Setup and then go to the Shortcuts page. You can set the controller shortcuts to suit yourself.

How do I create an Input File (.Dat File)?
Once the job is set up, simply click on Export Data on the top right of the Project info page and save the file appropriately.



Why is the customer dropdown list empty?
You have not yet entered any customers to the software. Exit the Project. Click People on the top of the screen. Then click Customers. Add customer’s details.



How do I return to the Project List page from the People Page?
Click on Projects at the top of the Screen.



How do I exit a Project?
Click on the Left facing arrow on the top left of the screen.



What if the Vehicle/Pedestrian Classification required is not in the list?
Select Custom from the dropdown list. Then click Edit. You can then create the classifications you require from the dropdown list. If the classification you require is not in the dropdown list. Select any classification from the list, click Add and you can change then Name & Display Name then. Click Close when you are finished creating the custom classification scheme.



Does anything happen the project if the deadline runs out?
No. The deadline date is only there to inform the Enumerators of the deadline date.



When I click on Import Video the videos I require are not showing up?
Above the Open & Cancel button you will see a dropdown list. Click on the dropdown list and select All Files. If they are still not showing up, you may have navigated to the wrong folder.



What Junction layout should I use?
We recommend using Custom from the bottom of the list. You can then label the Junction Arms to suit yourself.



How do I add Arm labels?
Double click on the Junction/Movement map (below the main map) to add labels. You can click on the arm labels and move them afterward if you need. To delete a label Click on the Label you want to delete and press the Delete key on your keyboard.



How do I move the camera?
Click on the Outer blue circle to drop the camera in that location.



How do I get to the pedestrian setup?
Click on the Junction Type dropdown list on the top right of the Maps & Movements page and select Pedestrian.



What Pedestrian layout should I use?
You can choose a predefined pedestrian layout if you like. To rotate a predefined layout, click on the Blue arrows. You can also create a custom layout if you like.



How do I add custom pedestrian movements?
Press CTRL and Left Click to add pedestrian movement. To move pedestrian movement arrows simply click on the arrows and drag to the appropriate location. To rotate the pedestrian movement arrows, click on the movements to be rotated and use the Scroll Wheel on the mouse to Rotate.



How do I add the arm labels to the video overlay section?
Click the Video Overlay that you want and click on the video player to drop it in the appropriate location. If needs be, you can click on it and move it.



How do I draw the pedestrian movements to the video overlay section?
Click the Movements you want to draw, click once on the video in the appropriate location to draw the base of the arrow, then move the mouse to the appropriate location and click again to set the arrow head. If the movement arrows are not correct you have to re-draw them. They cannot be moved.



Do I need to define the shortcuts?
Not necessarily. The shortcuts should set themselves. If the Enumerators want to change them to suit themselves they can do so easily.
